The Worst Movie I've Ever Seen

Hello Everybody! While I'm still trying to figure out exactly what kind of blog I am going to have, I wanted to fill you in on some of my opinions and a few snippets of me!

Today I'll be talking about Twilight, and why it was the worst movie I have ever watched.

In this blog post, I am not going to be hating on Twilight. I am merely sharing my opinions and reasoning. You will not see me TRY to insult the movie in this blog post. I feel like when people say they hate Twilight, they don't really have reasons why and are just jumping on the bandwagon. Sometimes they haven't even seen any of the movies and have just decided to hate the movie because their peers do.

Today I will be critiquing, if you will, the first movie in the series. Enjoy!

For anyone who hasn't seen the movie, Twilight is a story of a teenaged girl named Bella who meets a vampire named Edward and falls in love. That's the most basic way of putting it, and if you haven't seen the movie or read the book the rest of this post probably won't make a ton of sense.

Now, I have only seen the movie once, and I got bored real fast. It seems that, at the beginning, many scenes were either drawn out or not detailed enough. I feel like the whole movie could've improved if editors cut more useless, drawn-out scenes and, made the movie shorter and slightly more interesting to watch.

Don't get me wrong, editing couldn't have fixed this movie. But it would have made a difference, and I am taking the role of "fixing" this movie slowly. Because it will definitely take a while.

Twilight has many themes. Romance is its strongest, but also suspense, and a bit of horror. I am going to talk about all three and my opinion on them.

The romance portion of the movie is good, if a bit drawn back. I feel like Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart (The actors for Edward and Bella) could have been so much more expressive with their characters. You can argue that that's how the author wrote the characters, or that the actors are just not good at acting. Although all that may be true, it doesn't change that, as actors, they could've been stronger and more expressive, and the director should give them that freedom.

Now for the suspense. Yes, there is suspense, but really, it didn't get me on the edge of my seat as it should have. A movie should always have the audience feel something. Whether that be sadness, anger, happiness, relief, or in this case, suspense. I feel that almost everyone who watches this feels frustrated that they didn't have any emotion watching this.

Finally for the horror. Even though the movies in Twilight are about werewolves and vampires, but I didn't get the scared feeling I was expecting. Again, this left me as a viewer bored and very simply frustrated.

I hope you realize that this isn't a hate article and that I am simply expressing my feelings. If you have anything to say about this movie, please share them down in the comments!

Most importantly, please, please subscribe!
